The summer before starting my AS Level studies, my friend Midhah and I decided to challenge ourselves with a small but ambitious media project. Neither of us had any formal background in media studies, but both of us loved films, movies, and storytelling. We thought it would be interesting to see what would happen if we tried creating a piece of media, something of our own.

Our idea was simple: produce a short draft film that would end with a cliffhanger. Something that left the audience curious about what might happen next. We both worked together to write the script, bouncing ideas off each other and shaping the story scene by scene. Once the script was ready, we gathered a few of our friends and asked them to help as actors.
I took on the role of the producer and cinematographer, organizing schedules and arranging all the props we needed, and alongside that, Midhah took on the role of director, deciding how each scene should be carried out and how the actors should perform. At the end we sat on a call for a couple hours while I edited away. Every now and then I would show her something I thought was cool or I was unsure about, and she would give me solid advice on how to carry it out.

The riskiest part about this was we had three days since I had to go abroad and wouldn't be back for a while. The entirety of the movie, from the script to the final posters, was done within 3 days.
